A Loving Home for Bear

Bear

Bear needed a loving home to give him the time and medical attention he needed. The NHSPCA found the perfect match.

Bear lived his entire 12 years with the same person, but when their work schedule changed, he was left alone for hours on end. Poor Bear had a painful bladder condition, and he was suffering all alone during the day. His person reached out to see if we could place him in a home that could give him the time and medical attention he deserved. Sadly, many wouldn’t consider an elderly dog with medical issues adoptable—but thankfully, here at the New Hampshire SPCA, we are committed to providing every animal that comes through our doors a second chance at a loving home—no matter what age. You can imagine how confusing it must have been for poor Bear to end up in such a strange environment at such an advanced stage in his life.

Our staff rallied around this sweet senior boy, giving him extra love and care, and we waited for a special family to open their hearts and provide this adorable boy a safe and loving home to live out his golden years. Today, Bear has a new life and a forever home. His advanced age wasn’t an issue with his new family. They were looking for a special pet for their daughter to help care for while she was being homeschooled. Bear needed so much attention and they had so much love and time to offer. Bear and the young girl are inseparable, and they are a perfect match!

You can help other animals like Bear find a forever home by supporting the work of the NHSPCA with a planned gift. Contact Lisa Dennison at 603-772-2921 ext. 107 or ldennison@nhspca.org to learn more.
